　　海南醫(yī)學院是海南省唯一一所普通高等醫(yī)學院校，也是中國熱帶地區(qū)唯一的高等醫(yī)學院院校。辦學72年來，學校以“熱帶醫(yī)學”為辦學特色，以建成熱帶醫(yī)學特色鮮明的高水平醫(yī)科大學為目標，始終堅持“發(fā)揮特色，服務地方”的辦學方針，致力于學生崗位勝任力和領導力的培養(yǎng)，已向社會輸送了近五萬名畢業(yè)生。

　　Hainan Medical University(HNMU)is the only medicaluniversityof higher learningin Hainan Provinceas well as in Chinese tropical area. For nearly 72 years, HNMU stick to the school features of tropical medicine, stick to the objective of building a high level medical university with distinctive tropical features, and stick to the guiding principles of “Making full use of its advantagesto servethe local people” and devoting itself todeveloping students’ profession competency and leadership. Up till now,nearly 50000medical talentshave graduated from the school.

　　校本部占地面積619.9畝，現有全日制在校生12050人，有教職工1104人，其中專任教師677人，擁有進站院士、海外高層次人才等一批高層次人才。內設二級教學單位18個，擁有直屬附屬醫(yī)院4所，開放床位7500張。開設本科專業(yè)27個，覆蓋４個學科門類（醫(yī)學、管理學、理學、工學），形成了以本科教育為主體、研究生教育為引領、留學生教育為拓展、?？平逃秊檠a充的辦學格局，是目前海南省開展留學生本科學歷教育規(guī)模數量最多的高校。擁有臨床醫(yī)學博士點，有學術型一級學科碩士點5個、專業(yè)型碩士點5個。“臨床醫(yī)學”是海南省高校首個擁有ESI前1%學科。

　　HNMU, of which the main campus owns a total area of 619.9 mu, has currently enrolled 12050 full-time students in total and has 1104 staff members, including 677 full-time teachers and a group of talents among which there are hired academicians, high-level overseas talents. The school possesses 18 teaching units and 4 directly affiliated hospitals, 7500 open beds，offering 27 majors for undergraduates and covering 4 medical disciplines（Medical，Management，Science，Engineering）. It has developed a balanced educational structure including undergraduate education program, master education program, education program for overseas students and vocational college education program. Now it owns the largest group of overseas students of undergraduate education program in Hainan Province. HNMU has a Doctor's Degree in Clinical Medicine，has academic Master’s Degrees of 5 first-grade disciplines and professional Master’s Degrees of 5 principles. Its Clinical Medicine is the first discipline that has entered ESI top 1% in Hainan.

　　學校是目前全國唯一開展全員應急救護培訓的高等學校，擁有國家級特色專業(yè)、國家臨床技能實驗教學示范中心、國家精品視頻公開課等。主辦的全英文學術期刊《亞太熱帶醫(yī)藥雜志》、《亞太熱帶生物醫(yī)學雜志》已進入包括SCI在內的國際著名檢索數據庫。

　　As the nation’s only institution of higher learning that offers emergency rescue training for all the staff and students, HNMUboasts ofseveral state-level featured majors, state-level laboratory teaching demonstration center for clinical skills, and national quality video open courses, etc. Among the periodicals of the school, the Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Medicine and Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Biomedicine have been included intherenowned international medical retrieval systems(including SCI).

　　隨著建設海南國際旅游島、“一帶一路”建設、國家南海戰(zhàn)略以及海南十二個重點產業(yè)發(fā)展規(guī)劃的實施，學校駛入了發(fā)展的快車道，熱帶醫(yī)學、急救創(chuàng)傷及災難醫(yī)學、生殖醫(yī)學、南藥黎藥學、健康服務與管理等特色學科和重點學科初建成效，正朝著建設成為熱帶醫(yī)學特色鮮明的高水平醫(yī)科大學目標邁進。

　　Inspired by theconstruction of Hainan International Tourism Island,and theimplementationofthe policy of “the Belt and Road”, the South China Sea strategy and the development plan of twelve key industries in Hainan,theschool hasbeen developing rapidly. We havesuccessfullyset up a number of featured and key subjects such as tropical medicine, first-aid and disaster medicine, reproductive medicine, South Medicine and Li Medicine, Health Services and Management and so on. Now we are sparing no efforts to achieve the goal for a high-level medical university with distinctive tropical medicine features.
